I really like the concept of Personal Chef To Go. You order high quality prepared meals that are quick and easy to heat up and then they are delivered to your door. They arrive nicely packed and surrounded by dry ice packs and foam for insulation. All of mine were super cold when they arrived. I stuck them in the frig and had 4 ready to eat meals for the week ahead. I think these meals would be especially good for busy executives, people who work long hours, or couples with no kids who just want a simple to make dinner that is better quality and healthier than any tv dinner would be.

I tried 4 meals, each meal had one container with the meat/main dish and another container with the vegetable/side dish. A large pack of whole grain dinners rolls was also included.

Pros:

  • Very quick and easy, heats up in a few minutes
  • Saves time/less trips to the store/less work, no cooking
  • Delivered right to your door
  • Meals are rotated and they have tons of different meals available
  • The food is good tasting overall
  • Meats are very high quality

Cons:

  • In my opinion they aren't that kid friendly. I don't know many kids who would eat some of these upper class creations.
  • The meats in all the dishes were excellent. We especially loved the Texas BBQ Pork Tenderloin. The sides were good most of the time. The salad side was awesome, the veggie sides were also good. However, I wasn't crazy about the ones with rice or pasta sides. They were a bit dry and bland.
  • The meals are pricey. I do understand that the service is very convenient and saves a lot of work and time, plus it is delivered. That is part of what you are paying for, which is understandable to a point. But, I don't think the average family could afford their meals.
