Tips On Getting Freebies
*This page contains affiliate links
Freebies take a little while to get the hang of when you are first starting. You have to be diligent and don't give up! And it does take some work on your part. When you first start off, keep in mind freebies generally take 4-6 weeks to receive by mail. Some will come sooner and some later. Delivery times vary.
Check out the Freebie List for all the latest freebies. (tons are available right now) You must click on each one and sign yourself up. A desk top/home computer is recommended since many links do not work on mobile devices. You can try to access Facebook by using your internet browser rather than using the app to see the full version OR you can go into your settings and switch to "desktop view".
Follow me on social media, especially on Facebook. Also, this is extremely important, be sure to select "see first" by hovering over my "like" button on Facebook(near my cover photo). Otherwise you will not see all my posts! Facebook has made things tricky by only showing followers "select" posts and many of you have been missing out on things. Several followers have started following my posts on the new Facebook group page and they seem to be seeing much more of my posts vs. the regular Facebook page. (click "notifications" near the cover photo and be sure to select "all posts")
Also like, share, and comment from time to time on posts. This helps Facebook determine what posts people like to see the most. Make sure you click on each link and sign yourself up for each freebie, contest, deal, etc. Simply "liking" "joining" or "following" a page will not get you freebies. I personally do not provide freebies. You should see a form posted by a well known company. I simply provide links to take you there. If you have issues or feel uncomfortable with giving out your name/address or other information requested on the forms, then freebies and contests may not be for you. They do need a bit of information to send you the freebie. It will not magically show up unless you tell them where to send it.
Enter contests often, especially the ones that have a high number of prizes. I have won a bunch of stuff like gift cards, trips, beauty products, cash, and more. You can too! Some people say "oh I never win". Are you entering regularly? I enter on the sweepstakes list almost every day or as often as I get the time. I saw someone comment once that they don't bother with contests because they are stacked in the favor of the person who posted it. That is entirely not true. Most contests are from big companies that allow you to get a one time entry, a daily entry, etc. and there is a random drawing to determine the winner. On the daily entry ones, yes you have an advantage if you enter more often than others, that is just simple logic. There are a bunch of instant wins where, well, you win instantly. Everyone's chance of winning is the same, it is random. The only contests that are stacked in the favor of the person posting it are referral contests. These are contests that give you a referral link to share with friends to get additional entries. On the majority of those it is still a random drawing. Just because you have more entries doesn't always mean you will win. In fact I have won a couple contests that I entered only one time. And also "referral" contests do not make up the majority of contests out there. Most are not those type of giveaways. Generally those are found on blog giveaways or Facebook pages that are trying to get more fans/followers. They use these referrals as a way to get new fans. So don't give up on contests guys. Anyone can win if you enter often.
No one is guaranteed any freebie at any time, they can run out suddenly and once in awhile they simply fail. Especially on "flash" giveaways that only last a short time. You have to be quick. Typically I will say "hurry" on a Facebook freebie post if it looks like it will be gone fast. If it doesn't load or you get an error message on a "flash" freebie.....hit reload until it comes up. Keep in mind that these websites get slammed with requests and will have errors, especially the better the freebie. Some freebies last literally only minutes, some go on for several days. There are also times that rarely a company leaves their "freebie" post up too long and then they run out of the freebie and some don't get one. And occasionally, a company has directed their freebie to a small audience only, and it leaks to the freebie pages. Many times they are not able to fulfill the thousands of unexpected requests. Please don't let this discourage you. The majority of freebies you sign up for WILL come through for you if you properly fill in each form. Only a small percent fail.
Sign up as often as you can. The more time you have available, the more you will get in on. The best times to get freebies is mostly during the weekdays. But they can happen at any given time. Avoid sites/pages that ask you to do long surveys or force you to sign up with them to get a freebie. Most freebies are simply a form you fill out and occasionally maybe a few questions.
Another extremely important point is to sign up for FREE product testing sites. You can get tons of freebies that way.....and most are full size products! Each product testing site is different on how it works. It takes some time to figure them out.
Be patient when you first sign up, it may take a little bit before you are selected. Join/Sign up for as many social media sites as possible. Facebook pages are one of the primary places that post freebies, but they also happen on Twitter quite often and Instagram or Pinterest occasionally. These sites are quick and easy to sign up for even if you only use them to get free stuff.
Avoid brand new Facebook pages that are offering a too good to be true freebie like trips, plane tickets, video game systems, free gift cards, or amusement park tickets, make sure the page has been established for awhile and is the "official" company page. Don't sweat it if you miss a freebie from time to time. THERE ARE TONS out there. We are bound to miss out on one once in awhile.
I see a few followers who get really upset over not getting a freebie or they have other different petty issues. Please try and be sensible when participating and be considerate of others as well. There is no need to get crazy over a missed freebie. Also, please do not complain or message a company if you miss a freebie. Remember IT IS FREE. It is not something they owe you. When people complain, these companies are sometimes hesitant to give out freebies and occasionally will stop it all together. So please keep that in mind.
Have fun with it. Free stuff is awesome! If you ever have questions feel free to contact me anytime. Don't hesitate. I am happy to help.
